This brutalist-style building was constructed in the 1960s. Planning permission was granted to convert the ground floor into retail space, while the existing first floor and a new second floor were to be converted into flats.

The building's existing structure presented challenges for adding the new storey and carrying out the conversion. However, the original rhythm of the façade was preserved and refurbished, with wider glazing casements installed to allow more natural light into the newly created spaces.
